Officials from the ministry of works have failed to explain the circumstances under which some city roads which not on the CHOGM list were repaired using CHOGM budget.

The Parliamentary committee investigation CHOGM expenditure has discovered that the works ministry used some money in their annual budget to repair roads which they say was uncalled for.

The officials told MPs that the Prime Ministers office and the state minister for works John Byabagambi are to blame for the confusion for they did not provide the list of roads to be repaired on time.

Bukoto South MP Mathias Nsubuga said over 100 billion shillings is unaccounted under such circumstances.
