CONSTRUCTION OF A CANOPY OVER THE ROAD TOLL AT ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT CAA/WRKS/09-10/00018
Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is a Government statutory entity responsible for the promotion of the safe, secure and efficient development of Civil Aviation inside and outside Uganda. CAA owns and operates Entebbe International Airport and thirteen domestic Aerodromes.
The Civil Aviation Authority has allocated funds for Construction of a Canopy over the road toll at Entebbe International Airport and now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the above mentioned works.
1. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open domestic bidding procedures contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and are open to all bidders from eligible source countries.
2. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ug. Shs. 100,000 (One hundred thousand shillings only) payable in cash at CAA cash office, 2nd floor, Entebbe International Airport Terminal Building. The document should be collected immediately after payment.
3. Bids must be delivered to the address stated in 4, below on or before Tuesday, 13th April 2010 at 10:30am (All bids must be accompanied by a bid security Ug.Shs. 2,000,000 (Two million shillings only) .
Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend on Tuesday, 13th April 2010 at 10:40 am in the CAA Boardroom at the CAA Headquarters, Entebbe.
4. Bidding documents may be inspected at the office of:

There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting and site inspection to enable potential bidders get clarifications and answers on any matter that may be raised at that stage on Wednesday, 19th March 2010 at 10:30am in the CAA Boardroom at the CAA Headquarters.
Bidders who do not attend the meeting shall be disqualified.
The Civil Aviation Authority is not bound to accept the lowest or any bid.
