Jinja Woman MP Ruth Tuma has lost the NRM poll to the district speaker, Agnes Nabirye. Tuma polled 23,120 votes against Nabirye’s 31,303 in the Monday NRM party primary elections. Tuma was conspicuously absent during the announcement of the results by the NRM administrative secretary, Michael Kasedde, at busoga Square on Thursday. Clad in a yellow Busuuti, Nabirye could not hide her joy when she was announced the official NRM flag-bearer.
