ANNE Mugisha, the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) deputy secretary for foreign affairs, has joined the race for the Nakawa division MP seat.

She will face-off with deputy justice minister Fred Ruhindi and lawyer Kenneth Kakande of the Democratic Party.

Mugisha returned from the US on June 11, where she had spent nine years on self imposed exile.

While in the US, she has been
mobilising funds and support from donors and Ugandans in the diaspora for FDC.

Mugisha reiterated her commitment to mobilise voters at the grassroots, especially women, to participate in next year’s elections.

She said FDC would not be frustrated: “We shall fight until we are killed. The move by the State and its agents to frustrate us only renews our strength to fight for democracy.”
