SUSPECTS of the July 11 twin bomb blasts in Kampala that killed over 70 people are going to be allowed to receive visitors.

Sources said the suspects, who are on remand at Luzira Prison, are under tight security and will receive visitors on two designated days in a week.

The days allocated to the terrorism suspects to receive visitor are different from those of other inmates receive visitors.

Sources added that the 30 suspects, who are facing charges of terrorism, murder and attempted murder, are being kept in a separate wing in the prison and are not allowed to interact with other inmates.

“These are not ordinary inmates. We have put a very strict prison regime with extra security,” the source said. The suspects are, however, not allowed to receive any external food supplies for fear of them being poisoned.

“We are taking care of all their food requirements. ,” the source added.
