UGANDA People’s Congress (UPC) president Dr. Olara Otunnu has started publishing a free two-page weekly newsletter.

Launching the newsletter at Christ the King Hall yesterday, Otunnu said he would provide UPC solutions to various problems and challenges Uganda is facing through the newsletter.

“The UPC will be releasing written notifications to the people of Uganda as part of our fight to regain our freedoms and take back our country to the control of the people.

“The NRM has managed to abuse our freedoms and plunder national resources with impunity through disinformation, bribery, empty promises and ruthless use of security organs to create fear and suppress what would be dissenting views,” Otunnu stated in this week’s newsletter.

The focus of this week’s newsletter is on “rotten healthy services”.

Otunnu said the Government had failed to maintain the existing hospitals and curb corruption. The former UN diplomat said UPC would ensure a corruption-free government.

“The mess in the NRM primaries characterised by violence and rigging is enough evidence that the Electoral Commission appointed by the NRM government cannot conduct free and fair elections,” Otunnu argued.
