NILE Breweries has entered a partnership with farmers of Kabale district to grow barley, a produce used in the manufacturing of beer.

But Michael Betonde, the district extension worker and coordinator of barley growers in the district, said there was still a challenge of convincing the farmers to grow the crop.

He said this was because Uganda Breweries entered a similar agreement with the farmers some time back but failed to honour it.
