I am urging the Uganda Cranes to emulate the other national teams, which qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations in 1962, 1968, 1974, 1976 and 1978.
Considering the group we are in this time round and the immense talent that our players have, we stand a very good chance of qualifying.
The Cranes should know that their fans expect them to qualify for the 28th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations. The tournament will be co-hosted by Equatorial
Guinea and Gabon in 2012.
The Angolans are well-organised, very good at counter-attacks and well-known for their dazzling skills. However, in the previous African Cup of Nations campaign in Kampala, the Cranes beat them, proving that they can be beaten.
In the past few years, the Uganda Cranes have not lost a game at Namboole Stadium. So, we expect them to go past the Angolans. The Cranes managers should ensure that our players are mentally prepared, confident and focused.
