I realise that accepting defeat is not common among African politicians.

In the just concluded NRM primaries, even where the elections were free and fair, some losers complained and threatened to run as independents, saying they were cheated.

Others even criticised those who passed, saying they could not deliver.
I appeal to politicians to learn to accept defeat.
