I salute our four soldiers who recently died in Somalia. These men sacrificed their dear lives and comfort for humanity.
They were aware of the risks involved, but they still went to fight for the restoration of peace in Africa.

Let me pray that they have not lost their lives in vain.
I encourage the UPDF and the Burundi soldiers in Somalia to continue with the struggle to pacify Africa and the world.

I encourage all Ugandans, irrespective of religious, political or cultural beliefs, to support the UPDF who are in Somalia in anyway they see fit. We should pray for our soldiers and their families and avoid making reckless statements about the war.
