EDITOR: For FDC president Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye to sign an agreement that he will grant the Baganda federo if the Inter-Party Cooperation (IPC) won the 2011 elections was not only very unreasonable, but also a sign of how unprepared he is to lead and serve Ugandans. I now doubt whether his "One Uganda One people" slogan is genuine. Federo will divide Uganda.

The signing was also a blow to many Ugandans who support the FDC and IPC but are not in favour of federo. Besigye has left us with no option, but to start considering his opponent as more fit and mature to lead Uganda as one country instead of tribal factions.
