EDITOR: Your story about the Police killing employees on a strike in Hoima was so sad. Police officers need to be well trained and given clear rules of engagement. It is wrong for them to go around shooting to kill unarmed workers.

This kind of barbaric policing is not going to take us anywhere. I have read about occasions when the Inspector General of Police, Maj. Gen. Kale Kayihura has acted admirably in an attempt to clean up the force.

Kayihura, now is another time to rid the force of errant officers who are hell bent on tarnishing the otherwise good image of the Police you have been working so hard to project.

The Hoima officers who carried out this heinous act deserve to be punished.

As for the Hoima BAT office, if you are not able to pay poor workers for two months and resort to force to silence disgruntled workers then maybe it is time you packed up your bags and left.
