CRANES coach Bobby Williamson has kept faith in goalkeeper Hamza Muwonge. Muwonge, released from Police cells on Tuesday, was yesterday included on the tentative 22-man squad that leaves for Bujumbura tomorrow for an African Nations Championship encounter with Burundi.

FUFA delegate Engajani Wandera will lead Uganda’s delegation that also has Crispus Muyinda as team manager and Sam Ssimbwa and Jackson Mayanja as assistant coaches.

Meanwhile CECAFA has requested Africa soccer body CAF to shift the CHAN’s next round to May. This follows a clash in dates between the continental competition and the CECAFA Club championship set for April 1- 24 in Kigali, Rwanda.

In a related development, the national U-17 squad has also been summoned. They start residential training on March 27 at Nakivubo. They play Zambia in the Africa Championship on April 10.

Cranes squad: A. Muwonge, R. Odongkara, S. Masaba, D. Walulya, G. Walusimbi, E. Ssali, I. Isinde, O. Kasule, M. Kaweesa, M. Mudde, N. Semakula, S. Matovu, S. Juma, P. Ssenyonjo, B. Olobo, A. Bongole, T. Odur
