Lukaya took the ladies crown

AMINA Lukaya regained her form to beat Amina Kibone in the Makerere table tennis Open on Monday. Elsewhere, Ndejje’s Kevin Mafabi beat Jackson Migadde of Fotogenix to the men’s title at Makerere University’s Main Hall.

Lukaya, a Kyambogo University student who has been out of action for sometime, registered a 11-8 11-5 9-11 11-6 victory over her old rival Kibone of Mbale Tigers.

It was the first event for the newly elected Uganda Table Tennis Association executive led by Dennis Galabuzi.

There was also action in the cadet, juniors and disabled events.
