KCB Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally clerk of course Stephen Byaruhanga has warned drivers of a very competitive event come April 30- May 2 as he unveiled a route to run in Luwero. It was in Mityana last year, reports Douglas Mazune.

“The route will make the race very competitive. It will be impossible for the lead driver to beat the next car by three minutes. Those who want to win must be fast and very watchful,” Byaruhanga warned.

The rally will start with a super special stage at Lubiri on April 30 ahead of the first and second legs.

Sponsors KCB bank announced a sh340m package. The bank executive director Nok Bwonditi said $45,000 (sh90m) cash would be given to motorsport body FMU for operational costs. $25,000 (sh50m) will go towards filming of the race while sh200m will cover advertising expenses.

“This is a worthwhile partnership that is beneficial to both FMU and KCB. We shall continue supporting the sport,” Bwonditi remarked.
