PAST encounters between the Cranes and Angola reveal giant strides taken by Uganda over the past five years.
The two sides first met in 1996 in a World Cup qualifier at Nakivubo.

With stars like Fabrive Akwa, Angola humbled their hosts 2-0.
They went on to demolish the Cranes 3-1 in the return leg.

A lot has changed over the past five years with Uganda progressing by over 50 places to 69th position on the FIFA Coca Cola rankings.

Angola in 2008 felt Uganda’s might in the last World Cup/Nations Cup qualifiers when they lost 3-1 at Namboole.

Andy Mwesigwa and Dan Wagaluka, who scored two of those goals are back to haunt the black antelopes.
