UGANDA’S opponents in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Harambee Stars of Kenya left for Guinea Bissau yesterday morning after a delayed flight.
The Stars will take on their West African opponents today.

Inter Milan midfielder, MacDonald Mariga said they will not underrate their group opponents that includes Uganda and Angola in their quest to qualify for the finals of the continent’s premier soccer competition.

Mariga promised to lead Kenya to victory against Guinea Bissau and then wait Uganda in their next game.

“A win will be good for Kenya, but a draw won’t be bad. The important thing is for the team to have a winning mentality,” he said.
Mariga is among five foreign based players who travelled with the team for the crucial tie which might determine their destiny in the event.

Other professionals in the team includes French club AJ Auxere striker Denis Oliech and Swedish-based Robert Mambo. The team is handled by Twahir Muhiddin.
