WE have been fighting with Asiphiwe over a number of bad habits, one of them making a pool of pee and then playing in it with her hands. When she wets the floor and you do not clean it immediately, you will find her hands wet from the pee.
Another thing is slipping out of sight and finding her way into my bedroom. I will usually find all my deodorant sprayed out and the Vaseline scooped out of the container. She did this once and I could feel steam coming out through my ears.
Then, there is the bit about loving the company of her brothers. The only problems is sometimes they go to the top bunk of the double-deck bed, and Asiphiwe also wants to be put up there to enjoy the fun. But I cannot permit that because I know a small lapse in attention, and she will come tumbling down. That aggravates her. She will start yelling and crying and even attempt to shake the bed.
Last but not least, Asiphiwe loves to punch her brothers’ ears when they are asleep. She will walk to their beds and start punching and biting their ears while giggling.
The other day I heard had her older brother screaming uncontrollably and then I met Asiphiwe in the corridor running at super speed. Her brother then showed huge scratches on his cheek, done by Asiphiwe. He was so upset, but Asiphiwe had quickly disappeared to the bathroom on yet another mission.
I got her from the bathroom, took her to the bedroom and showed her the scratches she had inflicted on her brother, and gave her a stern warning, but I do not know how long she will heed this warning.
