The products we use on hair sometimes do more harm than good

The products we use on hair sometimes do more harm than good

My natural hair is weak, easily breaks
My hair is weak and falling off and I have pimple-like sores on my scalp. I have natural hair what can I do?
Ann

Many times when people complain about such, it is easy to pin it on the relaxer one is using, but irregular shampooing of hair, too little rinsing, excessive use of a hot hair dryer, extreme use of hairsprays, improper use of hair colouring products, poor diet, hormonal imbalances, and infections can all contribute to this problem. The sores could be a contributing factor to the hair loss. For a person like you with natural hair, it would not be wise to jump to any remedy to tackle your problem as this will soothe the problem for only a short time. You need to know the cause. Some of the conditions which cause the symptoms you described include; eczema, dermatitis/rash (either due to allergies or drug-related), infections among others. The proper thing to do is visit a dermatologist to get a clearer picture of what the problem could be. Wash your combs and remember the most effective way to fight all your hair problems is cleanliness of hair.
