I am aged 20 and have a swollen pimple-like swelling above the lower lip inside my mouth. It is not painful. It started in 2008 and is growing.

It is normal to be concerned about the pimple. Some people develop painless warts around the lips. However if it is big and still growing, and makes you feel quite comfortable, an oral surgeon can perform a minor operation to remove it.

The surgeon will also cut part of the tissue to perform histology to rule out cancer. He or she will prescribe a treatment depending on the outcomes.
