I arrived earlier and when she came, I was excited because she was a beautiful girl. She looked young, humble and intelligent. From my interaction with her, I realised she was a serious and development-oriented lady. She told me her priority was her studies and that everything else must wait, until she finishes. I also told her I was abstaining till marriage.

I found my date already at Choma. He was taking a drink and someone directed me to where he was. He warmly welcomed me. He was open-minded, intelligent and interesting. We talked about our background and work. I expected him to talk about his education background, but he did not.

Did you talk about relationships?
Not so much, but he told me he was abstaining from sex.

What was your impression of him?
He is a nice and handsome man.

Did he meet your expectations?
Not really. He was dressed too casually. I expected him to come in a suit or smart dinner clothes. He also made a general comment that all Kampala girls are stupid, which I think was abusive and not right at such a date.

Did that kill your hopes in him?
I told him his comment was not good and he apologised. I think we can be good friends.

So what is the next step?
He told me he sells clothes in town. So I will be visiting him whenever I come to town so that I can support him.
