This stunning yellow and red woody evergreen climber is very showy and should be planted in an area where it will be intensely appreciated. Unlike other climbers such as the Bougainvillea which may be seen clearly from a distance the Cloak Vine needs to be near to the viewer.

In the Kew gardens in London, it has become so popular and competes for attention with the Bromeliads and Orchids that are displayed near the aquatic display in the Princess of Wales Conservatory.

The name Mysorensis was derived from the city of Mysore in South India.I came across it in the grand gardens at Speke Resort Munyonyo.

A stem cutting should be able to root if planted in good soil with plenty of sand to enable good drainage.
