MICROFINANCE minister Ruth Nankabirwa, Margaret Zziwa Nantongo and Nusura Tiperu are facing off with education minister Geraldine Namirembe Bitamazire for the post of chairperson, Women’s league.

Tiperu is the former Yumbe woman MP and is currently a member of the East African Legislative Assembly. Zziwa was Kampala woman MP for 10 years until she was defeated in 2006.

Zziwa is also a member of the East African Legislative Assembly.
Ruth Nankabirwa has been for so long campaigning for the position long before her rivals came in, but Bitamazire has indicated she is not leaving the seat.
