Museveni Preaches Patriotism to Young People

President Yoweri Museveni has warned the young people to love their country and themselves. The president revealed this at the closure of the Afro Arab youth meeting at the Speke Resort Munyonyo. The president also the chief guest at the youth meeting, revealed that young people need to know the future of the world and stop sleeping.

He noted that most of the African countries have been destroyed because of lack of patriotism and ideology. He urged the youth to adopt patriotism and Pan-Africanism as their core ideological pillars to national development. He advised the youth to be champions of innovation and conflict resolution. The president pointed at two key points including collapse of institution and fragmented Africa market.

He noted that the East African Market has been disturbed by lack of ideology. We need politics of interest — because prosperity comes from selling a good or service, not from tribalism. During the event, President Museveni launched a fundraising drive to support Afro-Arab youth empowerment programs and also offered 50areas land for secretariat in Uganda.
